After a disappointing loss to Orchard Lake Saint Mary’s the Falcons looked to re-group and get their first win of the season. The Falcons hosted Allendale on Thursday September 1st, which was parents night. The game started off with an early interception by linebacker Max Boorsma (sophomore). The offense quickly went to work scoring four touchdowns and by the end of the first quarter the Falcons had put up 28 points to Allendale’s 0. While still in the first quarter defensive back Kevin Manser intercepted a Allendale pass setting up a 24 yard touchdown reception by wide receiver Kyle O’Hearn.Running back Jalin Faison led the team with 185 yards with 3 touchdowns while quarterback was 7/7 passing with a touchdown for 90 yards and had 109 yards rushing. The final score of the game was 55-0 giving West their first victory of the 2011 season.
The Falcons are 1-1 on the season and look forward to playing Forest Hills Northern @ FHN at 7:00pm on Friday September 9th. Also, the Falcons start conference play this week and haven’t lost a game in the OK Blue Conference since they joined.
