WC Alum Fr. Pete McCormick ’95 Notre Dame Basketball Chaplain

Fr. Pete

Father Pete McCormick’s fame is growing among the students at Notre Dame. “FP” as he is known on campus, (he also goes by DJ McSwish…) was recently named Chaplain of The University of Notre Dame’s mens basketball team. McCormick played basketball here at WC and this past fall celebrated mass with the Falcon Football team on their way to Indianapolis for their week one football game. While at WC Fr. Pete was a two year starter on the varsity basketball team, he was named captain his senior year, led the team in rebounds as a senior and was named to the 1995 All-City Basketball team. Current Boys Basketball Head Coach Tony Fischer played with Fr. Pete in high school and said, “He was an awesome person.¬†Worked his butt off every day.”
