WEST CATHOLIC VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM WINS DISTRICT SEMI-FINAL

The West Catholic Varsity Baseball Team won their District Semi-Final Game on Saturday at Calvin Christian beating Wyoming Lee by the score of 7-0. West Catholic was lead offensively by Spencer Vainavicz’s RBI double and Gaetano Vallone’s double. Sean Kosnik had a single with 2 RBI, Braden Nawrocki singled with an RBI, Luke VanHammen had an RBI single, and Erik Bouwhuis singled. Gaetano Vallone got start and shut out victory for the Falcons. Vallone allowed a first inning double then settled down to allow only one hit the rest of the way. He walked two and struck out twelve. The win improved the Falcons over all record to 22-12 and advanced them to the District Championship Game against Calvin Christian.
