On Friday night, West traveled to The Summit in Lansing to take on Grand Ledge Fowlerville. In the first period, West had a couple of great scoring chances, but could not find the back of the net and the game remained scoreless after one. West out shot GLF 11 to 5 for the period. Grand Ledge would get on the board off of a face off goal seven minutes into the second period. Grand Ledge would score again with four minutes remaining in the period and shots on goal in the second favored GLF 10 to 5. It was all West in the third and Isaac Oswald netted his first goal of the season off of a shot from the point with assist going to Tyler Hofmann and Avery Mathews. West would continue to dominate the period and would out shoot GLF 18 to 1 for the period, but could not seem to get a bounce. Alan Kolenda was in the net and stopped 15 of 17 shots faced. Despite out shooting GLF 34 to 17, West could only score once. Final score, Grand Ledge Fowlerville 2 West 1. West is back in action tonight at the Summit in Lansing when they take on Lansing Catholic Central. With the loss, West falls to 13-8 on the season.
