Game Recap

The Falcons opened post season play last night when the Berrien Springs Shamrocks headed to Falcon Stadium.

With Berrien Springs deferring to the second half, West drove the ball down the field after a huge catch by Caden Wright resulting in a 1 yard TD run the next play by QB Gaetano Vallone.

After a big stop on defense, WC got the ball back again and picked up right where they left off and Vallone hit Nick Dorato in the enzone for an 11 yard TD to make it 14-0.

Another huge stop for the defense inside the 5 yard line on fourth down gave west the chance to settle for a 37 yard FG from Liam Putz making it 17-0 West Catholic.

With momentum clicking for the Falcons, Gaetano Vallone hit Senior Receivers Alex King for two TDs on 42 yard and 37 yard passes.

At the half, the Falcons were up 31-0 but Berrien Springs battled and played tough and made it 31-7. Connor Bolthouse on the ensuing drive took an end-around for a 36 yard TD to widen the margin.

Credit to the Shamrocks for making 38-13 on hard earned score but a late 4th quarter interception by Domenic Stornant gave the Falcons the ball and allowed Vallone to score once more making it 45-13 and a fumble forced by Nathaniel Mitchell on the goal line ended the game with the same score.

The Falcons will return home again next week to face Kalamazoo United in the District Final
