Game Recap

The Falcons traveled north to Sparta tonight in an OK Blue matchup against the Spartans.

With the game starting in clear weather, the Falcons took the ball down the field their second drive to score on an 11 yard run by QB Gaetano Vallone.

After two scores by Sparta, the Spartans led 14-7, but the Falcons answered with a 10 yard run by Zack Lee to tie it at 14-14.

The defense started to turn it on full blast with big stops by Nathaniel Mitchell and Matt Bilski. An interception on Sparta’s first drive of the second quarter set up another 2 yard TD by Vallone.

The defense continued to dominate and got the Falcons the ball once more before the half as Alex Fortier ran the ball in for a TD to make it 28-14 at the half.

Starting the second half, the Spartans scored to make it 28-21 but as the rain began to fall harder, the defenses efforts were no match for the Spartan offense.

A third quarter score from Gaetano Vallone out the Falcons up 36-21. After huge defensive stops, Zack Lee got lost in a scrum only to bounce it wide for a 40 yard TD.

Ending the scoring on the night, Vallone hit Alex King in the end zone to make it 49-21.
